Default FA Pick Ups - Jagr for Vrbata? M.Richards for Briere?

I have waiver priority 6 in my league right now. M. Richards and Jagr were both dropped yesterday. It is for the league in my signature. I'll probably be activating Kesler from the IR today so I'll be dropping Hanzal. I was wondering if I should burn a my waiver on grabbing M. Richards and Dropping Briere. Also if it is worth swapping out Vrbata for Jagr.

On a sidenote is it worth dropping Patches for Rene Bourque at this point or is Patches likely to work his way back up in the line up.

My league has hits, Pims and Blocked shots also included so please keep this in mind.

    -Thanks Guys

    1) I love what you are doing with your defense here. HIT/PIM/Blocked Shot defensemen = smart, smart move. This allows you to focus your forwards on offensive categories. At least, this is how I play my leagues.

    2) With the number of hits you have, yes, you can definitely afford to drop Hanzal.

    3) No, I would not drop Vrbata. Vrbata is the 40th best fantasy hockey player this year (per Yahoo!, whose ranks are accurate). Those 41 SOG & 7 PPP are very valuable. Jagr won't necessarily match those.

I think your team is fine and I wouldn't go chasing M.Richards or Jagr.
Hold Patches too... once he gets going you'll want his stats.

Thanks for the valuable feedback Pengwin. I have been eyeing Kulikov since he is on the waiver wire - he has really been uppng his pheripherals this year do you think he is worth a pick up over any of my current defensemen?
    Thanks again.

Edit - I saw last night he had 7 hits - thats Luke Schenn style.
