To me the funniest thing out of this was the highlights and when they interviewed Gorges about it. I could swear he was going to cry, just looked like a baby. But hey, the Canadiens did one great thing out of all this. After being destroyed by a "bad club", all they talked about was the "bite". So instead of the media attacking them for their awful play, they're just asking about a bite that nobody really cares about.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

The habs really are going to have to stop washing their jerseys with strawberry flavoured detergent...

    And Grabovski is now Biteoffski...

Oh, and just to be clear:
Sliding down the ice in response to scoring a goal = childish and immature.
Biting someone because their arm is in your face = appropriate response.

    Did I get that right?

yup, you got it spot on dude

also, lighting your city on fire in the playoffs is considered a mature and appropriate response as well...plus it has the added benefit of working for both Habs and Nucks fans!

Yeah, because if they had beat the Habs 7-0 or 8-0 that would have been a real statement.

that game was embarrassing, especially on home ice, and against Toronto

I think one of the things the Habs have done much better this year is to keep games close (lotsa 2-1 and 3-2 types wins for them this year), the only other really bad game they had was against OTT. But this was a real stinker.

I'll give full marks to Gorges & McLaren...
Gorges gets them for taking a fight that bordered on suicidal and sticking with it and McLaren gets respect for throttling back and not trying to kill (or actually killing) Gorges.

EDIT - not saying it was a bite, I've seen nothing remotely conclusive to show that it was so far
Not that I give shit mcgoof, but I am a little curious, what would you do if Pax or anyone else did that to you? Please share.

...and whats kicking a guy in the balls first have anything to do with this?

Nothing here, no way he gets suspended.

Besides, How can someone be suspended for being hungry?

because ****wit, you can't justify biting someone on the ice no matter what they do to you or what idiotic flawed logic you try to apply to the situation. Facewashing has a long tradition in the NHL, biting your opponent does not.

And since you are clearly a little slow on the analogies let me spell it out for you:

biting a guy in a scrap is the equivalent to kicking a guy in the balls (skates optional), its a bitch move and there is no justification for it at all, be a man not a bitch

the correct move for Grabby was to turn around and punch Patches in the chops for the facewash...it is simple, it's easy, and gets the point across immediately

When people have that panic moment where they feel they can literally not breathe, they'll do anything to get out of it. I just saw the clip again and Grabo looked distressed to say the least.

Should biting be condoned, never. I think it was just a reaction in a moment of panic. MaxPac didn't have his glove on, and his forearm was sealing Grabo's ability to breathe.

MaxPac should have the disciplinary hearing. It wasn't a facewash with a glove, it was grabbing the guy's face from behind, wrenching on his neck, and not letting go or letting him breathe.

Anyways, going forward do we call Grabo 'Bite-O' now instead?

My two cents to this......I like the nickname Grabiteski much more than Biteo
