Default (REP) Heatley+ Kipper for Bryzgalov

Team and league info in sig.

    I get Heatley and Kipper,

    He gets Bryz.

    Should I go for it?

    I'm thinking about countering with

Bryzgalov for Joe Thornton + Kipper. Thoughts?

I like Thornton and Kipper a lot better than Heatley and Kipper, but at the end of the day I think I make either deal. I'd try to land Thornton though in the counter proposal, I believe that to be a good idea, maybe you wind up get a player worse than Thornton but better than Heatley when all is said and done.

Kipper is only expected to miss a week, and when he and Bryzgalov are both healthy they are of similar value. I'd rather have Bryzgalov, but not by enough of a margin to not get a solid player like a Thornton or even a Heatley. When Kipper's back I expect him to be his old self, and continue to play the bulk of the games.

I would stand pat on the Heatley deal, but take the Thornton.

Just to confirm, "keep all" means you would not have to drop a player?

Yep, at the end of the season we keep everyone.

I'd have to drop someone, of course, to make room on my full roster for Heatley/Thornton

    I'm actually leaning towards no.

Moving forward, calgary is a rebuilding team, while Philly is a contender, and for the first 20 days of this season, Kipper has been awful, stats-wise ( a lot of that has to do with the team in front of him).

Thornton is nice to have, but I have a lot of depth at the C position, so again, I'm leaning towards no. Other opinions?
