Reply to my own thread..apparently Petr Mrazek is making his NHL debut for the Red Wings tonight.
Think that locks Elliot down for me though don't know much about this kid. Tough first game to be sure.

Here I am again deciding between these two.
Leaning towards Elliot due to:
+ Needs to prove himself after the shellacking he took against NSH last start and to take advantage and show something while Halak is out
+ Redden's 1000th game. Something for STL to rally around.
+ Red Wings have been hot & cold this year and currently 2 game losing streak against CBJ and CGY (two of the crappiest team's around)
- Elliot looked awful in the NSH game, but so did the entire STL team.
Leaning *against* Quick due to:
- NSH being on a tear as of late (3 straight wins)
- Rinne steals games
- LAK defense still has me 2nd guessing pretty much any game I start Quick in
+ But it's still friggin' Jonathan Quick
League is W=3, SA=x0.75, SO=5 and L=-1.5,
Any input?

You are way over analyzing this and most of your pros/cons don't make much sense.
I'd start Quick.
Um..k..thanks for the opinion I guess.
I'm middle of the pack in the league of 18 and have used alot of my moves to crawl out of last place up to 9th. The goaltending conflicts between these two have been tough and I need every fantasy point I can muster to make up ground.

My immediate thought is to roll with Quick. Nashville has an anemic offence.
Good luck!
i don't think you are over-analyzing anything here...
when elliot starts, his numbers are even better than quick's.
and i would rather put my money on the blues over the kings with the way they are each going right now... especially with the blues at home and the kings on the road. detroit is starting a rookie and LA is still pretty banged up on the back end.
go with your gut, but there is sound reasoning either way you go.
Thanks 27Blue. More the kinda response I'd hoped to get.
It's hard to go against Quick since he was my first rounder but LA had been real sketchy this year regardless of how Quick plays.
Red wings rookie goalie pretty much seals it for me and the Blues having that extra thing to play for in Redden's 1000th.
