Boyle and Bickel remain on the ice for extra work. So they will be healthy scratches. Girardi likely out, Cally likely in.

Blah, I'd actually rather they wait until the weekend and give him a little bit of extra time to rest that shoulder. Plus he's still on my IR today lol.

    callahan back tonight???

    http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/hoc...oyle-scratched

Was at MSG this morning for the Islanders' morning skate, but according to the intrepid Rangers beat guys up in Westchester this a.m. it appears that captain Ryan Callahan is set to return and center Brian Boyle will be scratched.

Callahan has practiced with the team all week with no limitations; the 27-year-old winger suffered a shoulder subluxation last Tuesday but appears to be ready to play just nine days later.

That'll be a coup for the Rangers, who are coming off a tough loss to the Devils on Tuesday night. Not only is Callahan the catalyst for the team's black-and-blue, hard-nosed style of play, he may also add a needed boost to the team's ailing power-play. As mentioned previously in this space, the team is currently dead last in the NHL with only three man-up goals in 35 chances through the first nine games of the season.

Boyle (who has recently been playing on the wing) would be a healthy scratch. The 6-7, 244-pound forward was limited in Tuesday's loss and benched for part of the third period, in which he played only four shifts.
