Dynasty cap hit league.
W(2), OTL/SOL(1), SO(2)
Been offered Halak for Rinne. Might be able to get a pick or two.
I already have Elliott.
Rinne is Rinne, but in NAS. CBJ and PHO have better offense than NAS.
Halak is on STL with Hitch and also 3.5M cheaper.
I'm quite tight in cap already.

I was going to tell you not to panic and to keep Rinne, but given that you don't count peripherals and Nashville has an absolutely anaemic offense this year, it is worth considering. Halak should put up around the same number of Wins but in far less starts than Rinne will this year plus it gives you the St Louis handcuff. Couple that with the cap savings and it makes it worth it.
Of course, even with that all said, I would try to get some picks thrown in since Rinne carries huge name value as an elite goalie.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
if it's a daily start and you can handcuff the st. louis net, i'd got for it for sure, especially if you can also get the picks. the cap savings are nice too

I'd take Halak.
I tried to warn everybody that Nashville was going to have trouble winning games this season... not too many people liked hearing it. Pengwin looking really good for that one right now. Nashville just has way, way, way too much money tied up in two players and they are going to have a hard team icing a good squad for the foreseeable future. They also have a ton of REAL money owed to Shea Weber and that too limits what they can build as a team. Bail on Rinne in W/SO leagues now. (Don't get me wrong, Rinne still good for peripheral leagues with GAA & SV%... but not in points leagues with just W/SO).
And St.Louis... good mercy, check out how they are doing in shots-on-goal-against per game. They are by FAR the best defensive team in the NHL.
I've found that most people on this site are in leagues where you start multiple goalies, there are sometimes weekly starts, and peripheral goalie stats are counted. In those leagues, Rinne is a dependable, solid top 5 goalie.
In leagues like mine, where all that matters is wins and SOs and there aren't weekly starts, there are plenty of goalies that can be good additions to the roster.
If Halak was offered to me for Rinne, I'd likely take it. St. Louis is a far better team than Nsh.
