Dallas Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk said Derek Roy (groin) skated Tuesday, but is still battling and might not return in time for Friday's game.
Roy's been sidelined since he was injured Jan. 24 against the Blackhawks. There was thought Roy would be activated at some point this week after the Stars sent down Colton Sceviour earlier Tuesday, but at this point all owners can do is play the waiting game.

You guys think this will be an injury plagued season for Roy?
Would the smart gamble be to cut bait right now?
I'm antsy because of the short season and I'm in a tight race for first place which doesn't look to get any less competitive any time soon.

I'm gonna try to trade him pretty much immediately after he comes back. Maybe as a package deal in a 2 for1 or something.
It's probably because i'm tired of his bull****. I owned him last year through most of the season too.
I'd give him till at least this weekend and see if he can shake it. It's a groin, and they can be troublesome, especially with the compressed schedule and the fact he's been out a while right through the lockout. I do like the potential of him in Dallas. Sit tight if you can afford to.
