The Predators have recalled goaltender Pekka Rinne from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League.
But whether he arrives in time for today\'s 2 p.m. game against Chicago is uncertain.

Rinne was scheduled to fly in from Milwaukee on Friday afternoon, but snowstorms cancelled a number of flights. If the weather relents, he\'ll fly in from Milwaukee this morning.
Rinne did not dress for the Admirals\' game on Friday.
The 6-5, 207-pound Rinne is considered one of the organization\'s top prospects. He leads the AHL in victories, and has posted a 33-23-2 record, along with a .908 save percentage and 2.51 goals against average.
He\'s played two NHL games in his career, both against Chicago. Rinne is 1-1 with a 3.81 goals against average in those games.
The move comes after the Predators\' disappointing 6-3 loss to Detroit on Thursday, after which Nashville Coach Barry Trotz criticized the play of Dan Ellis and Chris Mason.
The Predators don\'t need to make any moves in order to add Rinne because there is no roster limit following the league\'s trading deadline.

No - it\'s the perfect place to discuss.
Rinne is the Preds big hope for this season and next. I have a good hunch about him.

Hes been on my radar all year but I just recently acquired Harding and we can only keep 2 so I guess I will miss the boat on him. I have a good feeling too- Nashville will only get better in the coming years when the ownership mess is sorted out and from what I have read this guy has the tools to be a franchiser...
Rinne, eh?
Man, I\'m stuck now. I\'ve got a bunch of good players on my forwards and defense, and my goalies are Mason, Ellis, Harding and Howard. Dropping one of those for Rinne....

A good start would be either Mason or Ellis for Rinne.

well than I saved you a step lol
I have been watching him closely, I am hoping yahoo updates JJ, but LA needs to IR him first, argh.
I have two moves left and need to see if I make it to next week before I burn another. JJ hitting IR would help a lot. I am trying to keep those last two to snag Rinne and Okposo if possible (I don\'t want to waste a waiver on Okposo though, I am at ten and need to get back up higher).

Rinne is available in my pool (deep keeper league with 24 teams), where we are allowed 3 goalies (2 starters and one backup). I have Price, Biron and Niittimakii. I\'m thinking of dropping Niitimakii for Rinne (salary counts in our pool too and Niittimakii is pretty expensive to sit on the bench). Any views on whether this is a good idea would be appreciated!

I would swap out Nitty for Rinne, especially in a league where players are assigned a cap number. Rinne is their man of the future in Nashville. Nitty has a big imported Sabre in front of him and as you said, costs you more.
