Tarasenko was available, but I chose Granlund. Granlund has been OK, but Tarasenko is looking like the real deal. What's your view on these Calder candidates?

I definitely did this as well......in three different leagues!!

My view hasn't changed too much though. I still expect them to finish with around the same point totals for the year.

Yeah we're barely 2 games in on a short season.

I hadn't seen either play until this season.

I watched both Granlund and Tarasenko's first games. Granlund played fine but Tarasenko was dominant. His two goals had me impressed and finger hovered over the 'add' button but it was his hit on Ian White that clinched it for me. The player I was going to drop had already played that night so I stayed up until Yahoo rosters turned over the next morning (3:07 am) to be sure I could get Tarasenko (not doing this is how I lost out on RNH last year). Aside from his obvious skill it's his size, KHL experience and pedigree that make him an early Calder favourite. Nevermind that he plays with AMac.

Too early to make year-end judgements. But Tarasenko HAS looked unbelievably good.

Yakupov, Granlund, Saad, Galchenyuk were the first 4 prospects selected in my draft. I selected Tarasenko 10th overall, then before the season began i traded Tarasenko, Babchuk, 5th, 6th & 11th round pick for Faulk, Silfverberg, 2nd, 3rd, 14th. We only keep 10 players so i might not have room to keep Faulk & Silfverberg.

I watched the Blues Preds game tonight. He was creating scoring chances all over the place. He easily could have had 2 more goals. His first powerplay assist was from a penalty where he had a wide open net and the defenseman hooked him to stop him from scoring. If he wasn't hooked it would have gone in easy. I'd say a good chunk of the Blues scoring chances were generated by him too. I think he looks really slick and he has a real fast wrist shot. I thought he looked like one of the best players on the Blues tonight and probably their best forward. The Preds announcers were talkin him up real well too.

I grabbed him in my one year. I dropped Little because I wasn't getting to start enough centers anyway. I also have him in my keeper but I think the only spots I could open for him are taken by Gerbe and Laich. I'd have to buyout Laich or trade him and like to see were Gerbe is going to play in Buffalo.

He's been impressive, no doubt. But as already stated, it is still VERY early into the season.

    I drafted both of them.

Then in a trade for Chara, I chose to give up Tarasenko over Granlund.

Mainly because my best C is Roy, and I have Perry, Neal, Eriksson, MSL, Semin eligible at RW.

I choose Granlund in the 5th round. Tarassenko went in the 1st round before I had a chance to draft.

I still think Granlund will be fine. Tarassenko won't keep that pace all season, but he's got talent for sure.
