Surprised this hasn't been asked yet - H2H or Roto?
In H2H, elite goaltending is not as crucial, even if they account for 40% of the categories. Season totals don't matter, so as long as you have consistency between your guys.
In Roto, this setup makes goaltending a lot more crucial. And with shutouts, although a bit random and infrequent, if you can target guys who tend to have more or play for a team that might give you more, that could make a big difference as each shutout has a significant effect on the standings.
So, at pick 4, depending on the type I could go forward or goalie.
The type of league can be crucial to your strategy and is necessary to provide in order to get the best advice.

it's head to head. I'm fairly torn between Lundy and one of the top 5 forwards. thanks for the replies, real helpful
In that case, assuming Stamkos, Crosby and Malkin are gone, I'd go Ovechkin. Even if he doesn't reach the point level of those above him, he'll be among the best in G/SOG and gives you a top player at a shallower position (arguably). You can still get quality goalies later in the draft, and having a stud (e.g. Lundqvist) doesn't guarantee anything as it's all about weekly production and it can be unpredictable even with the best.
