Hamonic long term
Would love to hear some thoughts on Travis Hamonic's long term points production. He's shown great promise as a physical defensive d-man, but also put up some pretty decent numbers on a poor team as a 20 and 21 yr old.
I have the possibility of picking him up for Wideman (possibly a bigger package, but these would be the two main pieces) in a salary cap SIM league where I am rebuilding - thinking 2-3 yrs from now. Defensive and physical ratings really boost Hamonic's value (hits, defensive ability, blocked shots, size).
I doubt Wideman will be putting up great numbers in Cgy (maybe 37-40) and his new contract is not insignificant agaisnt my capspace.
So what's the consensus? Can Hamonic be a 40+ guy in the next 2-3 yrs on a team you would think has nowhere to go but up (you would THINK they have to improve...)?
