    Default Granlund vrs Huberdeau

Who will do better this year and who has more long-term upside?

    benjorno, welcome to the forums!

I like Granlund b/w the two. He's been playing professionally against grown men. I believe the two to have similiar upsides, but I think Granlund is further along in his development. Granlund could have an immediate impact in the 50 point range. I dont think there is any chance of Huberdeau accomplishing that.

This is a no brainer. Granlund is a better player. Immediate 2nd line C in Minny. Has greater upside also, I see him getting to 80-85 pts in the future. Could of probly expected him to have 60 pts in a full season as a rookie this year. And honestly after watching WJC this holiday break. I could see Huberdeau being a flop.

I agree with this completely. Huberdeau has not impressed me. Well actually he has, as a perimeter player not willing to go into the tough ice. The dispsy doodling was real good in the Quebec League but I think Huberdeau's game will not translate well into the NHL were all the big dogs live. If you can't play tough minutes in the WJC how will you fair in the big show. Maybe not a flop, but some serious maturing is required before Huberdeau can play a mans game. Granlund!

I think Grandlund is a better player and will have a better supporting cast in Min.
