New and need some advice

I'm in a 12 team league. Fairly basic. G, A, 2 designated tough guys that count 1/4 point per PIM plus points. I need some advice on whom to bench first week. Must bench one from each position exc. D is 2 benched.

LW - Ovechkin, Eriksson, Moulson and Prust
C - Thornton, P. Bergeron, Duchesne and Nuge-Hopkins
RW - Parenteau, Simmonds, Alfredsson, and Ryder
D - Byfuglien, Streit, J Johnson, Hedman, McQuaid, Souray, Robidais, and Kulikov
G - Fleury and Hiller

I'm using Simmonds as 1st TG and would use McQuaid if not injured. Should I play Prust ahead of Moulson or use Byfuglien as 2nd TG?

Benching one from each position I would go with...

LW: Prust
C: Bergeron
RW: Ryder
D: Robidais, Souray
G: Hiller

This would obviously depend on the schedule but seeing as it's going to be so crunched I can't see any teams playing something like 2 games.

Might be to early to tell until you know the schedule as games played might help you make the decision. I like the idea of dress Buff as the TG instead of Prust and keeping Moulson in over Prust.

I would run with this:
LW - Ovechkin, Eriksson, Moulson
C - Thornton, P. Bergeron, Nuge-Hopkins
RW - Parenteau, Simmonds, Alfredsson
D - Byfuglien, Streit, J Johnson, Hedman, Souray, and Kulikov
G - Fleury and Hiller

If you can make Byfuglien your tough guy and still have his points scored, I would select him to be tough guy #1. I like the idea of Simmonds being tough guy #2.
