Carey Price for Getzlaf?

I just aquired Lundqvist for D. Sedin, and I'm not sure if I should keep 2 goalies or trade Price.

Best offer on the table so far:

Price for Getzlaf.

Price got me a measily 64 points last year, and Getzlaf was worth 59 (although injured). Should I treat Getz like a 70 pt. player?....or Price like a 90 pt. goalie?

yeah im not sure i like you using price to get another center especially one coming off a tough season

plus while i might not personally value price at 90 i would be more inclined to try to sell him closer to that than 75

you really could use a rw otherwise i think you keep price

I would keep Price here. He's an sure #1 goalie. I'm pretty sure if you want to trade him, you could get a little more than Getzlav.

it would change how i view getting another center for price however not this particular center

selling price low like this doesnt help you much so you are better off holding him

i would want a tavares for price given the perceived value of price (by many) even if i had to provide a kicker to get the deal done

hell you are walking away from campbell could he and price get you a tavares

a lot of it depends on how much you believe in price if you are looking to get rid of him because you lack faith either use him and campbell to upgrade at goal or go for a higher end forward but getz meh given the number of players being kept in your league i think its possible that that gm might be pawning off a player he intends to drop on you

I think I will hang onto Price. GM's in our league are finicky and currently don't value him very highly because he plays for the Habs, so I won't get a good return.

I would love to get Tavares but the GM who owns him won't let him go. GM's in our league are weird, they totally overvalue youth at all costs. In terms of Campbell, no one wants him. Our league gives 2 points for a goal, and Campbell scored 4 year which doesn't make him as valuable in our league format.

- thanks! Pretty happy with the trade. I actually had a few GM's ask me why I made the trade...which is strange as I believe I just obtained the best goalie in the world!!!

well tavares should be a tough get he is pretty damn talented

as for campbell he was tied for 7th among defensmen in your league scoring last season

your league isnt very bright if they dont understand that its total points not total goals

Do you really need to keep 2 goalies in a keep-7 points only league?
If yes, keep Price.
If no, I think you can get a better return than Getzlaf for a G that will play almost every games for his team for the near future.
