80 points is most definitely not a safe bet. Don't pump him up more than what he is.

I think he is safe for 65 maybe, maybe 70. He may hit 80, but it's not a safe bet.

Thanks guys, appreciate the input. Suffice to say, it's a limited keeper so I'll hold off for now (we already drafted). Even if he has an 80pt ceiling, he won't do it this year nor next. So even if someone snags him on waivers, he'd have to multi-cat kill it for him not to be dropped back into the draft pool.

That's the beauty of opinions, they differ sometimes. I think he will hit 80 and do it repeatedly.

I already gave the cons to Bomm for not drafting him because of the non-existant PIM's and hits.

I think he shows enough this year that everyone will want to draft him next year. Calder candidate this season IMO. Not a great multi-cat guy, but 80 points within 3-5 years from now.

    We'll see...

You may be right. High expectations in my opinion, doesn't mean you're wrong!

Yup. Besides Lehner, Silfverberg is my fav.

Have you heard the Sweden fans chant his name? It will make its way into Scotiabank Place. I heard it a little bit in Game 6 against the Rangers last playoffs.

Spezza bashers...so funny. Watching him last year was such a treat - totally different player than that of 5, 4, 3 years ago.

not bashing him at all...(though he does play soft), just bashing the fanboys who have been calling for 100pt seasons from him
