I think a deal to Toronto is already set up once they can start to make transactions.

A shortened season might just be heating up, and in light of this, I want to know where Luo will end up. As a Schneider owner, I hope he gets moved when a new collective agreement is met. Hearing anything Dobberites?
Vote on where you think he'll land.
a. Vancouver (boooooo)
b. Chicago
c. Toronto
d. Florida

Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Here's how it goes: TSN holds a one hour special where Mike Gillis announces that Luongo will be taking his talents to South Beach.

only place that makes sense is the T-Dot. Or no trade at all but what fun is that?

Wouldn't surprise me if Luongo remained in Vancouver for a shortened season, if it were to happen I would expect him to be gone in the offseason.
I think Toronto is the most likely destination, and makes the most sense for both teams.
Florida is the destination of choice for Luongo, but it doesn't make much sense for Florida to acquire Luongo, thus it doesn't make much sense for Vancouver to move him to a team that probably isn't very likely of moving any decent pieces to acquire Luongo.
I feel like Luongo would be a great fit in Chicago, but I doubt the two teams will come together to make a trade involving a piece as big as Luongo, any time soon.
I also wouldn't rule out Luongo getting moved out at the Trade Deadline in a shortened season.
All things consider I believe Toronto to be Luongo's most likely destination.
Agreed. I seem to be in the minority of Hawk fans who wanted Luongo since there is no chance of the Hawks making a run without improved goalie play. But with the salary cap reduction and no obvious buyout candidate (Hossa?), I can't see the Hawks taking on Luongo's contract.

I think it will be Toronto but I really hope it isn't.
Toronto. Smoke = Fire = Lui to the Leafs.
1. Toronto MUST make the playoffs soon, and Luongo (or another very legit starter) is their best bet to make it happen. He can handle the pressure of a CDN market, Burke loves the big move, and Nonis is the guy who brought Lui to Vancouver.
2. Florida doesn't need him, plus have Markstrom coming up.
3. Too much blowback coming the Canucks way if Luongo goes to Chicago and tears it up.
4. I'm intrigued with the idea of Luongo staying in Van as insurance during a shortened season, but it would be a NIGHTMARE for the team from the media and fan standpoint. Just cut ties and move along.
5. Oilers? Remember Bob Stauffer's "Oilers are going to make a huge move" comment from a couple months ago? I've always wondered. But to me, it's similar to #3. The return for the Canucks would have to be huge for it to happen.
