Default What Pisses You Off The Most About The Lockout?

Ok, by now it's come to the point were us "faithful" and die hard fans have gotten to the point where our head are ready to explode.....mainly due to fustration......so I ask, what is the "one" thing that pisses you off about this lockout? I think we all need a little time to "decompress"......so lets hear it!!

Same. Loaded up on guys like St. Louis, Marleau, Chara to make a run, and have a tasty Iginla offer on the table, but now am hesitating on moves I would do in a heartbeat.

The thing that annoys me the most is that I feel like there is a real "drop dead date" that both the players and owners know, and the REAL negotiating is still to happen. Its hard to tell if all of the theatrics, threats, hands thrown up in frustration, etc. is all BS - I could see both Fehr and Bettman telling their respective parties - don't worry boys, this is how it goes. Come December 31, we will get it done.

At this point, I am just hoping that the days fly by - either way, it will be resolved within a couple of weeks. There is either a 48 game season that we all knew we would get to, or it is over. At this point, I just want it done.

I miss watching hockey on a treadmill at the gym. If I get fat, I'm blaming Bettman.

After some introspection, the one thing that pisses me off about the lock-out more than anything else is my own inability to say "to hell with it - screw the NHL" and walk away for good. But I just know I'll go crawling back... even if I follow through with some type of personal boycott, it will be a token gesture at best.

The fact that they could be playing under the old CBA right now while still negotiating or could have decided to try negotiating earlier when they knew this was going to be an issue but decided against it just so they could try to use this lockout as leverage. Just blatant abuse of the system that ultimately just punishes us.

May be stating the obvious but Its all fantasy related on this end. If i were a fan but had no vested interest i would move on and do other things.

My keeper league keeps me hanging. No keeper league and i probably would say "call me when u figure it out - take your sweet time. I'll be watching something else"

My 4 year old who just started hockey this year is really loving it. At night before bed he asks if we can watch the big guys play hockey on T.V......

Sorry, they are not playing right now

For me it's seeing my keeper leagues get up and going. Game wise, I do miss watching the games, but it's not something I couldn't do without.

I hate the fact that the two sides involved don't really seem to give one ioda about the people this is really affecting, the fans. The fans are the ONLY reason the NHL makes any money. If the fans don't go to the games, they don't get revenue. If the fans don't buy merchandise, they don't get revenue. If the fans don't exist, they don't get revenue.

The fact that any of the parties involved, who are fighting over money, make any money at all from this game is because of the fans. They can say "the fans this.. and the fans that...." but its obvious that neither side cares about the fans. They simply want our money and our blind faith that we will continue to feed it to them. The sad part is, they are right. We will. Sure, there will be stubborn fans who will stay away, won't buy merchandise and simply lose interest, but we all know the die hards will fall back into their trap.

There was a funny tweet the other day on twitter from stats Canada:

"88% of Canadians cannot wait for the lockout to be over so they can stubbornly refuse to watch hockey".

Basically this long rant is to say that the one thing that pisses me off about this lockout is the one person who makes the NHL even exist is the fans, and neither side seems to think about that while they are "negotiating". They are thinking about whats best for them, not what's best for the one person who makes their entire livelihood exist, as well as the NHL. They can say they care about the fans but it's pretty obvious that neither side cares about the fans. We are just gullible enough to believe that they do, and we keep giving them our money to prove it.

fantasy hockey wise it is a mixed bag for me. I started a rebuild in one league last year, so this saves me a year of development, but my other league it is a year less to make a run.

neither team is that bad off, on the rebuilding team my old men are lundy and statsny, (that really is just a really young team).

Im actually past the point of being pissed off.
Hockey, sports havent been the same for years. Between the lack
Of loyalty, greed, biz, officiating(nba especially), possible
Fixing of games etc my love has died a long time ago.

Besides being away from it reminds u theres waaay important things.
Like playing with the 3 kids, incl the 4 month old
Daughter. Thou today i nearly passed out when i sae her
Wearing a bib with the Senators logo on it.
Told the wife im concerned about the women giving these showers for her.
Just waiting for the opportunity to birn it.

I hate how this makes me aware of every long day between football seasons. Usually as soon as the grand final is dusted in September it's 5 and a bit months of hockey to bridge the gap. Oh well, I'm into horse racing now

What pisses me off about the lockout is that there is no NHL hockey.

I hate that fact that we will have another lockout in 6-10 years. Followed by one after that and one after that.
