    Default Crawford or Anderson?

Both are available in my keeper league's offline draft. I'm looking to get one for my bench. Anderson was bang-on last season, but Crawford is younger and on a better team IMO. I am expecting Crawford to bounce-back from his awful year last season. My other G's are Miller and Niemi, so not the greatest G's, but they are all serviceable. Stats are W, GAA, SV%, SO. Just need one and the potential for keeping one longer term is a factor, although they would have to excel this year (or next, if this year is nixed) for me to consider keeping them.

    Any preferences?

Even if Crawford bounces back, I still think Anderson is better.

I do not really like any of these two guys, but I do think Anderson holds more value.

Miller & Niemi are both top 10 goalies, IMO.
I don't think you are too bad off.

    I'd go with Crawford.
Chicago splits their arena with the Bulls and had a ton of off-night & Sunday games.
Even with a revised/changed schedule, this dual-tenant issue will keep the Hawks with some strange game days.

In other words, if you are in a Daily-Start league, Crawford might have less conflicts than Anderson. I also really like Chicago's defense over Ottawa's... but I do believe Anderson is the better goalie (by skills).

All that said, I'd go Crawford because of team & schedule.

Interesting.....Anderson back to Chicago to make room for Bishop/Lehner?

I would take Crawford here, as I am personally a believer in him bouncing back this season. His career is extremely similar to Jimmy Howard (look it up it's kind of creepy), and Howard bounced back after struggling as a sophomore.

That's all well and good, but it's not really proof. Crawford was great for the last month of the season, a combined 1.85 GAA and .921 Sv% while going 8-1-2 in March and April. He was also pretty good in the playoffs, although he let in a couple soft-ish goals at bad times, overall his games were good.

Even playing as poorly as he did for most of last season, he won 30 times in only 57 games, and 33 times in 57 games the year before on a weaker Hawks team. If he does bounce back like I'm expecting, he could get into the 65 starts range and that could equal 40 wins.

If I didn't believe so much in Crawford's improvement this season I would have no problem taking Anderson, and if you don't buy into Crawford there's nothing wrong with grabbing Anderson. But personally if I had the choice it would be Crawford.
