    Default Nash vs Ryan

In a 12 team keeper league, I have to choose between these two. Both have Rw/Lw designation. Goals are weighed slightly higher than assists. Who would you rather have for this upcoming season (whenever that is)? Who is the better option in a couple of years time?

I like Nash in this one. He finally gets to play with a ligit number one centre man in Richards.

Is it points only or do you count peripherals too?

I am inclined to lean towards Ryan here even if Nash picks his game up in NY.Both produce at a similar clip. But Ryan has higher potential. He scores at almost 2% better than Nash does in shooting percentage so as he reaches his potential, his goal totals should go up. Also, if you count Hits, it is a no contest, Ryan would be choice hands down.

    Scoring cats? Salary cap?

In a non-cap I'll take Nash, cap Ryan.

I'd take Ryan. I don't buy the hype that Nash will be dominant because he finally has a top centre. Richards was supposed to click with Gaborik, and didn't. Gomez was supposed to click with jagr, and didn't. Drury was supposed to click with shanahan, and didn't. Redden was supposed to click with whoever, and didn't. You get the point.

Basically, anytime a high-profile player goes to new York, it takes a while to get going. Ryan is already entrenched in Anaheim, so he doesn't need to get used to a new city, new fans, new style, new coach, etc.

I like Ryan better now, and for the future.

I'd go with Ryan. Last season was a big step back for the big three in Anaheim, and Ryan still scored one more goal and only two points less than Nash. They should both see better seasons coming up, but I believe in Ryan fulfilling his potential far more than Nash.

A vote for Nash here. He'll be very energized to play in a market that cares. But it is very close and wouldn't blame anyone for picking Ryan.

I'm going with Bobby Ryan, I think the lockout will help him. He's either going to accept that Anaheim won't trade him or get traded, its 100 percent true he's the scapegoat if anything goes wrong in Anaheim.

To a young player, that's just not fair. I can totally understand why he wants out of Anaheim.

Thanks for all the replies. The scoring is a points only. Goals have a value .5 more than assists. And special teams points are .5 more than even strength.

I like Ryan here. He will be on the first PP once Selanne retires and who knows, there are always rumours of him going to Philly. I just have lost all faith in Nash. I like him but not as much as Ryan, right now
