OK, I've been going back and forth with this GM for a while now, this is the latest deal on the table:

I give: R. Zimmerman, BJ Upton and Gallardo

Moustakas, A. Jackson and Matt Moore


I am still in contention this year and the scoring cats are standard.

Pretty even trade. I am sure Moore will be better this 2nd half and Zimmerman is a crap shoot, could either continue to rake or be DL'd b/c of the shoulder. I'd go for it, safer play imo.

My thoughts exactly. He's a BAB and I'm sick of having him on the DL for half the year, I'd much rather take the safer, younger Moose. I just don't know how much I'm losing at CF going from Upton to Jackson? can he keep this up and how good is Moore supposed to be?

A fair trade, but you kind of know what you're getting with the side you're about to give away. Guess the crapshoot is whether Zimmerman can stay healthy.

Yeah it's pretty even. For keepers the Moore side but for this season like everyone's saying its a crap shoot weather zimm stays healthy. He's starting to get hot and gallarado is pitching well also but history kinda shows zimm to be hurt at some point. I'd take the gamble

It's a keep 10 so I'd be replacing Zimm, Upton and Gallardo with Moose, Jackson and Moore as my keepers.

Our league is a keep 10 so we can't trade picks in rounds 1 thru 10 so the 14th rounder is pretty much a 4rth rounder. Still a good deal?

Now he's saying that he might want Melky instead of Upton....... if I do that swtich does this still seem like a good deal?

I don't know I think melkey changes a lot. He plays on a young team that is starting to play good ball. I myself wouldn't want to get rid of him for Austin Jackson. Zimm and moose are pretty close to the same IMO because zimm may outscore him if he's healthy because he plays on a great team, Moore and gallarado I'd give the edge to gallarado this year because he seems to be getting a lot more consistent starts lately but Moore could be a future ace if he gets more consistent. So I think the upton deal with a pick was a pretty good deal but I'm not so sure giving up melkey is a good idea unless he's willing to give you a decent draft pick. Melkey is still 27 I think so he's got some life left. IMO that kinda changes the deal.
