Currently reading The Fall of Hyperion, the sequel to Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Both very good books for sci-fi fans.

GO WINGS!
Ah I didn't know that, thanks.
No, I haven't read The Walking Dead comic book series. Not really into comics. Actually I haven't read much zombie stuff in general, and wouldn't consider myself a huge fan of them. But Feed intrigued me because of the main story as well as Moody's style so that is a start. Will consider others, as I like to mix up my horror/action.
There's zombie fiction and then there's fiction that uses zombies and a zombie outbreak to tell stories about how regular people react to it. That's the most interesting stuff, where the desperation makes for more interesting stories about people. It's not the gore or killing zombies that's the interesting stuff, but rather how people turn on each other or work together in extraordinary circumstances. World War Z is great at that and The Walking Dead as well. The zombies are pretty much just a catalyst to make things interesting.
Another book, not about zombies but interesting in the same way as World War Z, is Robopocalypse.

I recently started reading 50 shades of gray... seriously.
My gf and all the women in my office seem to be absolutely addicted to it, so I figured I'd see what all the hype was about. Reads like a cheesy porn script so far... I'd steer clear.
I read a few passages in my gf's copy and it's just... Let's just say that it's obvious that it started out as erotic Twilight fanfiction.
GO WINGS!
I have done some pretty main stream readings of late:
Hunger Games
Divergent - FYI - 3rd book of trilogy out next Fall
I am Number 4 - FYI - 3rd book of trilogy coming out Aug. 8
Member of OCHA
The Passage - Justin Cronin. (73% through, per Kindle... really enjoying it).
After a 3-year reading hiatus, my wife got me back into reading as she has switched into a bit of the fantasy world (which is effin great).
Her recent list (I let her pave the way):
*Hunger Games - which I read (first book 5/5, second book 2/5, third book 3/5)
*Fifty Shades of Grey - I'm not reading this, read a couple pages over her shoulder, meh. Apparently it is a "Facebook-girl-club-thing"... like announcing you are going to see Magic Mike. (tbh, I think that it is for the "married woman"... aha, guess I'm not getting it done!!!)
*Feed - She started this but said it starts very slow... she may have dropped it. (hf, you'll have to let me know what you think when you finish)
*Under the Dome - she just downloaded this to read
*World War Z - yup, on her queue
Well I've already read 2 1/2 books of the story, so regardless of how it ends I definitely recommend it. Of course it may not be for everyone but I really connected with the main characters from the beginning in that setting and it progressed from there. I wouldn't even call it horror; it has horror elements but combined with suspense/action it works for me. Worth giving it a shot.

I wasn't sure if I was gonna read Endymion. Is it a sequel or more of a spin-off?
Two other books I read lately were Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and Foundation by Isaac Asimov. I really enjoyed both of them but decided not to get into the sequels.
I have Starship Troopers in the queue as well and Dance with Dragons (I'm a cheap bastard I'm waiting for the paperback to come out).
