Joe McDonnell of of FoxSportsWest.com reports that the Dodgers and Chad Billingsley have agreed to a three-year, $30 million extension.
It's not yet official and details are still pouring in. According to Anthony Jackson of ESPN Los Angeles, the deal will cover the 2012-2014 seasons and could include an option for 2015. Jon Heyman of SI.com confirms talk about an option year that would cover at least his first two years of free agency. Billingsley, who doesn't turn 27 until July, is making $6.275 million this season.

"Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that Chad Billingsley's extension with the Dodgers is worth $35-36 million, including the buyout for the fourth year option.

The deal is expected to cover the 2012-2014 seasons and will include an option for 2015. According to Hernandez, the salary for the option year is still being negotiated. Either way, this has a chance to be an excellent deal for both sides. Billingsley, 26, has a 3.55 ERA over his first five seasons in the majors and has made at least 31 starts in each of the last three seasons. "
