Imagine if they went with
Malkin - Crosby - Hossa

Although I suspect that they put Malkin on his own line as he\'s shown he can lead the charge on his own and putting all your big guns together wouldn\'t give Pitts much in the way of scoring depth.

I can\'t see it happening unless Pittsburgh ships some major salary out. Malkin and Crosby are already going to command a lot of the cap, Whitney will command a fair chunk of money when his contract comes up (not sure when that is). I just don\'t see the number crunching working unless Hossa and Malkin are willing to take discounts to stay on a contender.
