White Sox signed 1B Adam Dunn to a four-year, $56 million contract.
White Sox GM Kenny Williams moved quickly and covertly to land this offseason's premier power hitter. Dunn, 31, finished the 2010 season with a 260/.356/.536 batting line, 38 home runs and 103 RBI over 558 at-bats. It's not clear if he will play first base or serve as Chicago's designated hitter, but he will be a fantasy monster either way in the cozy confines of US Cellular Field. We're thinking he should easily top 40 home runs.
