It took me a double take but he was credited with the 2nd hit but he wasn't credited the hit as a shortstop cause he was playing 3rd base. So he ended with 2 hits - 1 as a SS, and one as a 3B.
Last night Omar Vizquel tied legendary Luis Aparicio for 2nd all-time in hits for a shortstop. He then singled later in the game, however he was not officially credited with this 2nd hit of the night because he was switched to 3rd base???? This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever! Can somebody please clarify the ruling? Thanks a bunch.
