Rinne is a 100% must. For your second guy I'll go with Varlamov, who has overall stats slightly above Brodeur but faces more shots per game.
Stats are W, GAA, SVS, SV%, SHO
I am still looking for goodness in all 5 stats and can start 2 of the following 4 tenders today.
Rinne vsDAL (Lehtonen)
Brodeur @DET (Howard)
Varlamov vsCBJ (York??)
Neuvirth vsFLA (Theodore)
Which 2 would you be rolling with today? Thanks!

I usually feel the same way about Rinne, but the one thing that caused me to question was this being a potential elimination game for Dallas, so they are going to come hungry and Rinne has been a little leaky lately.
I agree with Eric's picks. Despite your concerns with Rinne I feel like he's the safest bet. Dallas has had chances to grab vital points, but they've pissed them away, and Nashville is solid at home. I wouldn't feel great about anyone going into Detroit, so I'd be hesitant to roll with Brodeur. I think Washington will beat Florida, but neither team has stepped up to show they really want it down the stretch, so who knows. Columbus is looking a little better lately, but Varly should come away with the win and some solid numbers.
If this year is any indication, I wouldn't put more stock into an elimination game than any other game. Teams like the Sharks, Sabres and Caps have not turned that sense of urgency into points in the standings. I remember the same happening two years ago when the Habs clinched a playoff spot mainly because everyone beneath them kept losing.
I'd ride the horse now the same way as back in November.

I like Rinne and Neuvirth.
The Caps/FLA game is a BIG one, and I think the Caps will step up.
It's close between Rinne & Varly... Rinne's been a little shaky and the Stars are on the bubble, but Varly's also a wildcard and that game has no playoff implications so who knows how loose it'll be.
Blah, I want to agree with blayze about Neuvirth being my #2 but every time I've assumed that the Capitals would come out strong they've flopped like a bunch of Magikarp.
Varly is a good start too but Columbus has been better lately.
I'm gonna go with Varly as my #2. Not a fan of Neuvirth's career numbers and numbers in general at home. Really tough call though.

Interesting add from Goldman:
Lehtonen vs. #Preds: 5-3-0 with a 1.99 GAA and .928 SV% | Rinne vs. #Stars: 4-4-0 with a 2.88 GAA and .890 SV% (1 SO)
I wouldn't trust the Caps to do anything this season, in fact I'm willing to bet FLA beats em to clinch tonight. Its a tough call but I think I'd roll with Rinne and Varly
Thanks guys for helping encourage me to start Rinne! Clearly the right decision, especially when Varlamov was my other starter tonight. Now only if you all had suggested I start Brodeur, gee!! Haha!
