I have been thinking all day about that. Actually, I’ve been sweating it out on this one for the past week hoping that Kovalchuk would take down Daniel and avoid this mess. When putting together the bracket I thought this one would be awesome if both made it to face each other but I soon realized that I had created a monster.

I guarantee at least half of these votes have just been poorly thought out arbitrary decisions based on some previous affiliation that has nothing to do with the actual situation in question and based on that it is undeniably likely that they could wind up in a tie.

My saving grace is the fact that in the end I don’t think anyone will truly care which one escapes to go to the Final Four so I’ll probably just hold someone’s vote hostage until the last second and then force them to cast the deciding vote in the event there is a tie.

In any other league, I'm taking Daniel. Points only, I gotta go with Hank. I also went with Hank to get the votes closer to a tie

Come on (metal)dude! That isn't even fun!

    Easy way out:
    Sedin vs ?

Just leave out the initial. They are identical and pretty much identical points wise too. The only reason Danny might win is if people don't get that it is pts only

I voted for Daniel due to his goal scoring, then remembered it's straight points so goals really don't matter. They're pretty much identical in their scoring so it really doesn't matter....Daniel's taken a good lead which I'm sure has to do with others voting the way I did. Really doesn't matter as either one would lose next round anyway.

This goes to show how much they're still undervalued. Back-to-back Art Ross trophies, top 20 again this year, and they still don't stand a chance in the next round. Ha!

Their age compared to the others make them less desirable of course, and I'm not saying they deserve to win this thing, but....

took Hank but given their age and slippage lately it's a shme that only on of Stamkos and Taveres is going to get tossed and one of these 2 make it for one more round.

I'd take Sedin over Tavares at this point. Tavares will be stuck on a bad team for years. He has the talent but good teammates are crucial to take it to the next step, unless you're Crosby or Malkin, cause they do it on their own.

I went with Hank because he is a center and has been injured less over his career although I think Daniel is the better player...
