    Default time to drop Thomas?

Have a bye into next weeks H2H semifinals.

Have Quick and Thomas as goalies.

Time to drop Thomas (struggling for weeks) for another goalie?

Brodeur, Bishop, Ward, Varlymov notable goalies on FA list.

Rep will be given for advice.

I would not drop Thomas in your situation.

With those goalies available I would drop Sullivan (off the PP1 tonight). I get that he COULD play with Sid, but if you're struggling for goalies those are some awesome ones to have; Brodeur and Varly to be specific.

what's your reason not to drop Thomas?

he's literally only had 1 game with a GAA less than 2.80 and save % over .905 over the past few weeks ...

and he wouldn't be a keeper for me

    He's on Boston.....potential.

Teams go through slides all of the time. I know this has been an elongated one for Boston. But for example, as a Wings fan Im happy they're struggling now instead of with 5 games left in the season.

It's very rare where a team will go 10+ straight games on a certain kind of streak. Again....yes I know Boston's has been going on for months now....but it's BOSTON. With no Rask in the picture I just wouldn't want to risk the drop of him when I think dropping Sullivan and grabbing a third tender would be less risky.

But with that said....I would also consider looking at how you compare against the team you might be facing next week. The Bruins do play four games next week, including a wonderful Monday matchup against their best opponent (Toronto).

I'm with robot here... Sullivan's opportunity will be decreasing with the return of Crosby and Letang. Thomas has to much potential to turn it around soon to be giving up on him.

Better to add a tender and keep Timmy benched until his return to form. The guy didn't win the Vezina for nothing.

Brodeur would be my choice. He is finally heating up nicely.

Noticed you're on Yahoo---if you're using their Can't Cut List, them Thomas isn't even droppable, I'm sorry to say. I've lost confidence in him, and he's pulling my team down like a lead anchor.

The other thing to consider here is that Thomas's bad run has roughly coincided with Rask's injury. We all know Turco was available for a reason - he is not very good. Thomas knows that he has no risk of losing his starting role to Turco while he could easily do that with Rask.

Thomas has no one behind him right now and that lack of pressure could very well be the largest factor to his poor play. Rask is gone for the season so I am starting to think that Thomas' stellar play may be gone too.

Look... Boston played a good game against Philly. Timmy looked pretty good. Keep the faith.

I would have Varlamov on my team and be rolling him with confidence. Varlamov is a stud and Colorado is playing really good hockey right now.

I'd guess this is the good game and W Timmy needed to get back on track.

Option of Varlamov and Brodeur, both have been playing well recently.

Broduer might have easier schedule of opponents this week tho.

Varlamov - Cgy, Pho, Van, SJ
    Brodeur- NYR, Ott, Tor, Pitt
    Semi-retired
