Big Risk - Playoffs with 2 Goalies,... should I risk it?
My playoffs start next week and I'm looking at my schedules through out the playoffs,... and I don't think I'm going to use Evgeni Nabokov. He's been sucking shit. So I'm contemplating going with Howard and Pavelac and picking up an extra forward/defence. What are the Expert thoughts?
14 Team, H2H Salary Cap Keeper League.
G, A,+/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG, HIT, W, L, GAA, SV%, SHO
C: Olli Jokinen, David Desharnais, Andy McDonald, Flippula
LW: Ovechkin, Parise, Hartnell, Morrow, Tanguay
RW: Selanne, Gaborik, Teddy Purcell,
D: Letang, Lidstrom, Streit, Shattenkirk
G: Howard, Pavelac, Nabokov
For me it would depend who is available and who you're set to matchup against. In a 14 team league there might not be anything worthwhile.
That being said if you can grab someone on a hot streak or someone with potential who plays four game then I definitely think it will be worth it.
Who you're against will also be a factor. If they have four starters, you're liekly not going to take W anyway so might as well sacrifice that category and bank on getting L and a boost on offense.

Always good to have a solid 1-2 punch going into the playoffs. That No.3 goaltender is an insurance policy incase sh!t falls apart. But if you've assessed Nabokov more of a liability than an insurance policy, then you have the right to dump him for that reason.
Your LW,RW,D looks pretty solid. Are you contemplating of adding a center? Who are the potential fwds you're looking to add inplace of Nabby?
