Default Which tender is the best keeper option? REP

I will likely wait till next season to see what shakes down, but at first blush, who is the best keeper league option? Any of these guys have stud potential?

I rank em like this, but would love some opinions...

    Dubnyk
    Tokarski
    Mason
    Holtby
    20 Team Dynasty League - POINTS ONLY (Champion - 2017, 2016, 2015)

    Points: A (1) G (2) Dman G (3) GWG (1)
    Goalie: W (3.5) SO (4) L (-1)
    Daily starts: 9 Fwd, 6 D, 1 Goalie

    Guentzel Tkachuk Larkin
    Couture Palmieri Zucker
    Wilson Beauvillier Labanc

I'd say Holtby is the best "down the road" goalie.

So obviously you can wait for each goalie to do their thing and mature?

I would rank them Dubnyk, Holtby, Tokarski and I assume you mean Steve Mason.

Dubnyk and Holtby are so close, but I gave Dubnyk the edge based on that he is already in the NHL and maybe I am wrong and Edmonton might actually be better eventually (I don't think so though).

As long as their thing begins next year. I am hoping to contend, but also want the best long term option if possible.

At some point, EDM should take the next step, and next year seems like a good time. Dubby should be the guy, so I guess he is my top choice.

I will be following Tokarski pretty closely though over the next few weeks

Impessive numbers by Holtby last yr w/ limited GP. He'll give Neuvirth a run for his money in securing that No.1 position next season.

Dubnyk's time has arrived. He'll be the safest bet of the 4 to make an NHL impact next season. Might not be elite numbers unless EDM gets their d-corps repolished.

Dont know much about the other two, well, Mason..i choose to ignore that calder winner. Big upside, obviously. Just so inconsistent, so frustrating.

    Long term choice: Holtby

If you're putting that much stock into next season then Dubnyk is easily the best choice. It's between him and Mason for next season, and the Oilers have their shit together more than Columbus does.

I don't think Dubnyk is a great goalie, but he puts up respectable numbers which is solid for depth behind an elite starter in fantasy.

Kinda surprised no votes for Tokarski

With Boucher being his former coach, zero tending options in TB and an extended run to prove himself, I see him as auditioning for the starter's gig next year. I may be overvaluing his chances, but he may well be TB's starter come October

He might get a chance but will he succeed? His play in the AHL suggests he might need more seasoning to survive long-term. Plus the team may use its resources to grab one of Harding, Schneider, Bernier or Nabokov.

If Tokarski had emerged more as a top prospect then I would feel more comfortable about his chances. At this rate you can't rule out Tampa going outside the organization to solve its problem.

Dub is the best short-term choice. Tokarski has the least path of resistence and Holtby is, as previously stated, probably the best long-term option. And the other guy, i've never heard of him If your hand is forced for next year, Dub. Tokakarski is worth monitoring... they may bring someone in or that guy in my prospect sig could come over. He was once here and has put up sick numbers across seas and was a former 1st with #1 potential. Definitely monitor that situation as they may simply bring in a more proven tender.

Tokarski is going to stay in Tampa, that's it. He's young with tons of promise, and they are very much in need of a solid No. 1 goalie. It'd be foolish of Yzerman to let him go. Tokarski's ELC ends with Tampa at the end of next season also. He's staying. And, as a Lightning fan, I'm very happy we have him

Dubnyk then Holtby for me especially in the next year or two.

    From that point on, Holtby.
