Bizarre Stat of the Night
The Devils beat the Islanders 2-1 by scoring both their goals 14 seconds apart in the final two minutes of the game.

STUDS

Rocked them like a Hurricane
Jussi Jokinen, Jeff Skinner, and Chad LaRose each had two points and finished plus-3. Skinner also added 12 PIM and five shots, while Jokinen won 11 of 14 draws. Cam Ward turned aside 36 of 38 shots as the Canes have picked it up recently. It may be too little too late for a playoff push unfortunately.

Erik 'Norris' Karlsson
Not only did Karlsson score two goals for the Senators, but he added four PIM, six shots on goal, and a couple of blocks. All of this after it was reported that he would be a game-time decision with a minor injury. Could you imagine if he was 100%?

It was a Bryz
There were several outstanding goaltending performances Saturday including shutouts by Ilya Bryzgalov, Jonas Gustavsson, Kari Lehtonen, and Mike Smith. This was Bryzgalov's fifth straight win and third shutout in that span. The universe is once again balanced.

Honourable Mention

Patrice Bergeron
Perhaps the quietest superstar in the league, Bergeron kept on rolling with an assist, 15 face-off wins, and a plus-3 rating.

Alexander Semin
It's not everyday you get to use the phrase "a nice overall effort by Semin." The Capitals right winger put up two points, three shots, and finished plus-2.

Scott Hartnell
Hartnell is one of the few guys in the league that can have a major impact without scoring a point. The rugged Flyer had five shots and seven hits against the Leafs on Saturday.

Erik Cole
The speedy Canadien had two goals and six shots in a victory over the Canucks.

Milestones
Michael Stone scored his first career NHL goal for the Coyotes in their 3-0 victory over the Sharks.

DUDS

Sharks have no Bite
The Sharks have sunk all the way out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference. Only four skaters finished without a minus rating in their loss to division rival Phoenix on Saturday, and they only conceded three goals! That just proves how balanced they are as all four lines are playing equally awful.

Disappearing Act
The Lightning have been playing great lately but in a critical game that they needed, their big guns forgot to show up. Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis combined for no points and a minus-4 rating.

Losing Momentum
The Canucks have now posted back to back awful Saturday night performances against non-playoff Eastern Conference opponents. Luongo was rather pedestrian giving up a softy and the team just had no energy in general. The Blues are starting to separate themselves from Vancouver in the race for the Presidents Trophy.

Dishonourable Mention

Tyler Seguin
Rough night for the young Bruin as he was held pointless and finished as a minus-2.

Paul Stastny
Despite the Avalanche win, Stastny was on for both Oiler goals and was held without a point.
