Anders Nilsson
This kid will be a stud goalie!
He got his first win and shutout in his second NHL start. In his first start he was thrown to the wolves as he played against Penguins in Crosby's comeback game.
Nilsson was recently named the AHL goaltender of the month for February. In 23 games Nilsson has 15 wins, 2.32 GAA and .925 SV%. Those are great stats for a rookie goalie in AHL and a lot better numbers than Poulin's.
Nilsson will be the Islanders' goalie of the future.

That's was really stupid management decision by the Islanders. Away game against one of the best teams in the league who get the best player in the game back after he's been out for 11 months. You knew the Pens were coming strong to that game. And you throw a rookie goalie out there??? Though I guess you need to give the Islanders a break as wasn't Nabby, Montoya and Poulin injured at that time? Still, they should have gone with Dipietro in that game as that was one of the rare times he was healthy. And you can't destroy the confidence of a goalie who doesn't have any.

He'd be a nice stop gap for a team with a young net-minder who is in need of a veteran presence. TB could use him.. NJ could use him... there are quite a few teams that could use him.
