Picking up varlamov or nabokov could give you a more reliable option that brodeur IMO
Hi,
I'm currently doing pretty well in my H2H pool and will likely have a favourable round 1 matchup (March 12 - 18). The problem lies in my goalie situation. My main goalie Luongo only starts twice (not back to back) against PHX and CLB. I'm worried that Schneider may start and I'd be extra hooped with only 1 goalie game started.
My other goalie is Brodeur who plays PHI, COL, and PIT (no back to backs). Any preference on who to start? I'm worried about the difficulty of Brodeur's schedule and am leaning towards either starting Luongo or picking up another goalie whose team plays 3 or 4 times during the week.
Notable starting goalies on waivers who play 4 games: Dubnyk/Khabby, Varlamov
Notable starting goalies on waivers who play 3 games: Roloson/Garon, Nabokov, Reimer, Lehner
I guess my question is who to start or who to pickup off waivers? Am I worrying too much? Is it too early to make this decision? Make a trade? I could make a trade but am wary of reducing my depth. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
FYI: Goalies stats are Wins, saves, goals, assists, and shutouts offset by goals against.
Edit: forgot to mention that my lineups are set weekly so I can't spot start different goalies. gotta pick one and hope for the best!
