    Default Lehner or Bishop

Boys, any idea who the Sens will run with?

One of them will be sent down no?

Has bishop already been sent down?

Need to drop one of them.

I want to pick up Bernier incase he's traded but need to drop one of these fools first.

    thanks

In a keeper, i want Lehner. With that said, i believe he goes down and Bishop stays up.

Definitely think you guys are right.. just don't get why they haven't made the move to send one down yet.. possibly because they'll try and move Auld today? Doesn't make too much sense otherwise..
and Bishop's contract is 1 way right? so pretty much would keep him up by default because they can yo-yo Lehner all they want this year no?

Two-way for the rest of the season. That is what we are discussing, not next year. One-way doesn't start until next year.

Lehner wll start tomorrow against the Bruins according to Bryan Murray. Auld will be the backup.

Bishop is signing his 2012-13, one-way contract right now and they are discussing their plans for the rest of this season as well.

    Fantastic!
Thank you for the clarification on that guys! It wasn't very clear what it was all about.. ok, so it still could go either way for the rest of the season.. I guess it'll depend on how Lehner plays tonight then!
    Thank ya!

I would think Bishop has to be the guy they will play. Why else would Ottawa sent a 2nd round pick for for a goalie that they are sending to the minors? Especually when they have a good young goalie already there.

Bishop is being sent to Binghamton for now. Lehner has earned some starts.

Absolutely, I mentioned in the Ottawa Senators thread that they are going to want to see what they have in Bishop. Not only that, but Lehner is only up here on an Emergency recall, so he will need to be sent down based on those rules alone. They have a little allowance for Lehner to stay, as long as Anderson is injured and until Bishop gets acclimated in the broadest of terms.

Just a guess, but the 18 games the Sens have left look for Bishop to start 12, Lehner 4, Auld 2. Unless Bishop really struggles, that is what I expect. Lehner will be in the minors for the most part. In saying that, all that can change if Lehner looks amazing and gets the win tomorrow against Boston. Still too early to tell really, Bishop could be the one going down with Lehner staying.

Lehner is not an emergency recall. Anderson is on IR.

They just announced that Bishop is being sent to Binghamton.

Bishop it is...I don't think it will last, but I does fit for now. Lehner did indeed earn himself some starts based on the Islanders game alone, because we all know it wasn't based of anything he has done in Bingo, you know what I mean by that.
