Default Hiller or Halak for future?

Okay, there is one owner who has Howard and I'm pretty sure he won't trade him, but he can only keep 2 of the 3. So first off, is Hiller or Howard a boost over Pavelec? 2nd, what would be the offer I should make for either of them? Plus, the owner has Pietrangelo who I'm interested in going after as well.

Well it depends on your specific league cats and number of keepers but I would not chase Pietrangelo at the same time as you go for a goalie. Yo already have 2 stud keeper D guys in a multicat league in Chara and Phaneuf.

As far as Hiller or Halak - either is an upgrade. I think Hiller is the better goalie but that is likely up for debate. But having said that Halak is probably on a better team for peripheral stats - the fly in the ointment is that Halak has the uberhot Elliott fighting for starts, whereas Hiller is undisputed number 1 with the Ducks.

Pavelec is good and I think the Jets should improve so I think the cost benefit analysis of chasing either Halak or Hiller should be examined carefully. I wonder if you should be waiting to the offseason to make an offer actually.

I'm considering waiting, but I'm in the hunt as I'm 3 points out of first place at the moment. I was in first for a long time, but Timmy T's play has me dropping in wins and save percentage, as well as Game Starts.

I think he will put you back in first fairly shortly - he doesn't play as well after the break but I do believe his numbers will be much better than they have been the last few weeks.

Timmy T and the Bruins will be just fine.

Hiller and Halak are both better than Pavs, although I like Hiller long-term much more.

Pavs has decent talent, but I think he's generally overrated on these forums mainly because of the glowing review of him that Justin wrote a while back. The Jets should improve slightly, but I still see them giving up a ton of goals for years to come.

So does anyone think I should go after either of these for the stretch here? If so what should I offer up?

I would offer up Pavelec + (maybe Zajac) for Hiller.

I'll see what I can do. I doubt the guy is interested in Zajac. People don't think he has it anymore.
