Background Info (Leaving this up till Sunday as an FYI for non-regulars)

    Alright guys,

I'm trying this out for the first time this in an effort to consolidate the millions of "who should I start" threads that clutter the goalie forum.

All I ask is you guys give this a try before bashing it. If it works, I really think it will make lives easier around here both for members looking for advice and those who continuously and unselfishly answer duplicate posts. If it doesn't work, then it's just another redundant thread among the thousands

    Purpose
-Reduce the amount of redundant "who to start" posts in the forum
-Provide one convenient location for everyone to ask "who to start" type questions
-Provide one convenient location for contributors to answer questions
-Provide one convenient location for "who to start" predictions and analysis
-Provide graphical representation of the popular forum opinion on starters (Poll)
-This is in no way meant to dissuade posters from creating their own threads

    How it Works
-Someone (anyone) will create a new thread daily with the subject line above
-Members vote on the goalies to have their predictions included in the poll
-Members are also encourage to contribute in the form of predictions, questions or detailed analysis
-MODS feel free to update the OP and Poll with updated goalie info as it becomes available

Thomas[@CAR], Lundqvist/Biron[@TOR], Greiss[@CBJ] and Miller[@NYI] would all be FANTASTIC starts in my opinion. Elite goaltenders and quality matchups are abounding.

    Agreed.

My locks would be Thomas, Lundqvist/Biron, Miller, Halak and Greiss - solid goalies (except the latter) with great match-ups.

I'll roll with Halak and Kipper. Not conventional, but I think Halak will continue his smoking hot ways and Flames getting the W in Cammalleri's debut against an LA Kings that can struggle to score. Why no Thomas or Lundy? Boston had trouble's with CAR (and CAR is looking better) and Leafs dynamic duo won't go 3 games straight without puttin some pucks in the net...and possibly getting the W against the superior NYR.

    Both are tough.

I want no part of Ward vs Boston, so I'd take the lesser of two evil's and go with Nabby vs Buf.

    Ward versus Boston this season:

    2-0, 1.50, .952

Small sample, but had to share.
