Completely forgot a sampling of beers from Yards Brewing. A few of my relatives were on vacation in and around Philly back in April and they sent me back 5 beers from Yards. Their Philadelphia Pale Ale, Brawler, and one each of their Ales of the Revolution.

Check 'em out guys. Really good stuff....

Oh the verdict on the Inferno ale by Lost Abbey, pretty good. If you like Duvel, you'll like it. It just, like Duvel, does something to me where I feel like my esophagus is tigther and I feel like I need to burp really badly. lol Too much info, I'm sure.

That's why I prefer Golden Draak to Duvel, it's easier on me lol.

Someone bring me some beer. Liquor store too far away and I'm not about to steal my roommate's Coor's Light (Barf.)

Didn't have any beer last night but picked up a bottle of Ravenwood Estates Old Vine Zinfandel. Not huge on wine but damn is that stuff good.
I'm more of a craft beer guy myself, but if you like the Zin..gotta try "7 Deadly Zins"...the best value out there.

My tastes have sure changed over the years. Whatever was cheap back in the college days, now I'm into the 'good stuff'. Anyways, if any of you are into IPA's....you gotta try and get your hands on some Red Racer IPA...comes from Central City (Surrey), and is one of the most highly rated Canadian IPA's available...and it comes in a can!

    Enjoy boys!

I just realized..this thread combines my 2 favourite things to talk about..hockey and drinking! How did I miss out on it until now? I love seeing the American posters chime in...it's harder for us North of the border to get any of your brews, but I do my best. I'm especially jealous of those from Penn and Cali....so many beers.......

I have found Nirvana, and I ain't talking about the band either. Life doesn't get much better than an ice cold bottle of Boulevard Bully! Porter and some Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburgers. No duck frites though which is a bummer. I'm sure I can find consolation in another bottle of that porter though.....

I use a great website called Beer Advocate. They rate your Bully Porter very highly....jealous...that's certainly not one I've seen up in the Great White North:

Keep checking online and I think you'll find someone who ships Boulevard to Canada. If you do it'll really be worth it. This thread inspired me to run to the liquor store to score a couple 6 packs and I've been in beer heaven all day. If you can find them online their Dark Truth Stout is another I highly recommend.

    I'll do that! Thanks!

In the meantime, I keep hoping Santa might bring me a little something special.

Ah my new favorite thread beer is pretty much the best thing about life. I've been trying to get into new beers for awhile now and while I've found some great ones I'm always on the lookout for more. One nice thing about living so close to Portland is there are roughly as many microbreweries as people around here. Rogue and Full Sail are a couple near by and I actually made a trip to Rogue's brewery a few weeks ago and picked up a bunch of stuff. Dead Guy, Morimoto Black Obi, and their Russian Imperial....got some Session at Full Sail as well.

I've been drinking a lot of Guiness lately as I seem to have discovered my taste for it. I've got a 6 pack of New Belgium 1554 in the fridge right now, and another 6 pack of Spaten Franzeskaner which have really become two of my favorites. Sam Adams and Stella are always good, and Alaskan Amber. Also tried a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout on a friend's recommendation and it's good stuff.

Obviously I like stouts haha. I like it all really, but stouts are the business. When I'm feeling poor though I always turn to Coors Light or PBR.....whatever they pass time.

A nice selection for sure Fast Tony. I love Oregon. My family and I make our way down to Bend each summer. I hit the bend Brew Fest (late Aug) and it is unreal! I also take the family to the Dechutes BrewPub...what a great place with a great selection of beer and food. Dechutes is one of the few Or brews we get up here. Love the Black Butte Porter!

    Cheers!
