Where are the good beer drinkers?

I'm very intrigued by the double bastard ale as I wasn't a huge fan of the Arrogant Bastard. If it's smoother then I might just like it more.

Give it a whirl. I'm not a huge hops guy, but this beer does a really good job of giving you the taste of hops in a very smooth way. I was really surprised by how good it tasted.

Okay, so my wife picked up some Winter Lager from Sam Adams, and I liked it. Maybe it was because my baby girl was fussing a lot last night, but I downed that sucker real good. ha ha!

I'd find something thats the closest brewery to where Gagner is from. That is a performance to drink to. I'm impressed. I'm just glad Hall was there for the ride lol.

Good thing the guy that has Gagner in my pool is safely tucked into last place. It's weird too....those 8 points, with 4 being goals would almost assuredly be worth at least 11 or 12 pts in my pool, but last night there was nothing extra, no PP or SHG or GWG....quite the night though.

Back to beer......our local good beer store just re loaded......picked up some Lagunitas IPA and a Lil Sumpin Sumpin....can't wait for tonight.

I love how Superbowl Sunday brings about good sales. I was able to get a 12 pack of Sam Adams Boston Lager for under 12 bucks. Sweet! I love finding a good sale.

By the way, the reason I love Sam Adams is I fell in love with it in Boston. The stuff is so good on tap there. I haven't had it on tap in forever so this holds me over. I also fell in love with Bass there. I love my trips. I need to go on another European excursion to seek out great Euro beers again. Alack, I am married with a a newborn. Got to get the wife to finish editing my book so I can get published and go on Beer pilgrimages.

Beau's All Natural
Lug Tread Lagered Ale

brewed in Vanleek Hill, Ontario by a son and father. I'm not related nor do I work for them but it's great. Comes in 4 packs of 600ml bottles.

And being all natural it offers a clean taste and modest buzz unlike most crap out there.

BTW if I brewed beer with my dad the result would be spoken about in hushed tones throughout the ages on the lips of the ancient tale tellers as the Legendary Brew that calmed the blood of men, ended all wars and brought 1000 years of peace to the world. But only 1 cask was made as my dad and I killed each other as working on anything with your dad can only last so long....

I'd recommend the next book be on beers of Europe. I'm partial to a discussion of the evolution and genetics of yeast as it relates to the split of ales and lagers in the spread of monasteries, but any beer topic would probably do. Then your research will not only allow, but require, a trip around Europe for beer drinking. That was my idea for my genetics research, at least.

I thought about doing that once, but for East Coast. And focusing on the best spots to go drink a beer. Who had the best selections, people, and locations. So I'd love to do something like that. Maybe I could do that as a side project if my name becomes a brand.
