    Default Drop Hiller for Smith?

Settings: Points only league. 9 team league. Not league in signature.
G settings: 2 points for win and an additional 5 points for shut out.
Only 4 moves allowed over entire year, and I want to make the right choice.

Do I drop Hiller and pick up Mike Smith? Can I trust Smith to continue to start games and put up wins and shut outs? Also Elliott, Lehtonen, Backstrom are available.

I might drop him for Lehtonen, but it depends on the severity of that groin injury. That Lehtonen was immediately placed on IR tells me that it's not minor.

Smith is interesting. He was a good goalie when he left Dallas, and now he seems to be doing well under Tippet. Meanwhile Tampa still seems to be goalie hell.

The other alternative is to wait and see if Carlyle's head rolls soon.

I picked up Smith at the start of November and as a result watched more of his, and couldn't be happier. We all know how disciplined defensively the Coyotes are. That being said, your league only cares about wins and s/o, and while the Smith's GAA and SV will be pretty decent this year it has no relevance to you.

I would have gone for Lehtonen but his injury seems serious.

Therefore in summary, if you have to drop a goalie, go for Smith. He's playing well on a consistently defensively solid team, and LaBarbie will not usurp him.

That being said, can you not drop Giguere?

Only have two goalies allowed on roster, right now I have Hiller and Lund. As I only have 3 moves left this year, I'd be very hesitant to pick up a goalie with an injury history like Lehtonen, even if he may be the most talented out of the bunch.

Awesome feedback, the more feedback the better.

I think Smith is the add - Lehtonen's injured, Elliot's streak could end and Halak could go back in net and Backstrom could yield more starts to Harding.

Smith is the clear guy so I think he's got the highest floor value.
