What is his injury status!! I need to know but unfortunately I can't find a thread on him in the Injury forum!
As requested in the injury thread, allow this to be a thread to counter act the nay sayers and act as an outlet to shower love on the greatness that is Evgeni Malkin.

I saw him rubbing his knee on the bench while shouting what appeared to be profanities.
I heard he rubbed some Jagr Peanut Butter on his knee and it has felt fine ever since.

Nothing to rejoice about when you're relying on this guy, been watching him last couple games since i've got Neal in my keep. he'll get back to assist heavy low 90's production but what are Pat Kane and Giroux value-wise and what is Malkin's trade value right now as I guarantee he get's you P.Kane/Giroux and a Benn/Neal which you will be laughing. The only thing he has that P.Kane and Giroux don't from a value standpoint is about a 5 point cushion and the Crosby factor for inflation assuming Crosby does not get re-concussed again. Nothing to rejoice about w/ this guy. Swap him for Stamkos or a high-end 2 for 1 return as mentioned above.
you have a bit of window now, trade for Stamkos or Giroux

I for one am rejoicing. No thoughts at all of trading Malkin. Certainly not for Stamkos or Giroux as previously suggested.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Don't mistake opinion for fact.
I personally would be all over a trade for Stamkos or Giroux if that were on the table.
Yeah I can understand the motivation for doing a trade like this. I'm stubborn though, when it comes to re-evaluating my opinion of players. I still haven't forgotten what Malkin did for me in 2008 and 2009. And if he is past his knee issues, I have no reason to doubt he'll be back dominating and out-producing both Stamkos and Giroux. The only reason to do a trade like this is if you believe that Malkin's knees are going to be a recurring issue (which they could be, I'm not denying it).
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
