You can add Kennedy to that list too... id start him against the pens.
He's playing PIT and Malkin and Crosby are both injured. Is it worth taking a risk on him? League in sig. Last week Pav screwed me over and even though Hiller played amazing I lost all goalie categories.
Lundy plays 3 games this week and Hiller plays 2 so getting 3 starts [required] wont be an issue, but an extra W is always helpful... thoughts?

I would not start Pavelec tonight, and I'm a Jets fan. Pittsburgh is very well coached and they're plenty capable of winning without Crosby and Malkin. Maybe the Jets will win tonight, but I would wait until they get their game sorted out before starting Pavelec. Lines and defensive pairings are up in the air, and the team's defensive game has been spotty thus far. Get your starts from Lundy and Hiller for the time being, I'd say.
pens were extremely close to making it to the conference finals last year without crosby and malkin...
I think tonight is a good opportunity for Pavelec and the Jets to get their first win. I understand the whole concept of how the Pens have great coaching and did well without Malkin/Crosby and such, but I'm just going on a hunch that this is a great opportunity for the Jets to knock off a few wins against Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Ottawa.
Ugly stat though, Pavelec is 0-7 lifetime against the Pens with 4.67 and .854 peripherals.
Smart move would be to bench him, but I would probably roll the dice early to see where it lands. Plus I don't particularly like hiding goalies right at the beginning of the week.
That being said I'm hoping its a high scoring game haha

Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!
I felt same way about Varlamov last week v.s Boston and he played well .
sometimes you have to make ballsy moves.
I think that playing your goalies against the Pens is a smart move right now. They have a lot of injuries and likely won't score many goals in these games. I'd say 3 is the most they will score in most games until Crosby and Malkin come back. Their games will all be really tight for sure and your goalie may not always get the win but I guarantee that it will only help your GAA and SV% by starting your goalies against the Pens right now. I think we will be seeing a lot of 2-1 games as long as Malkin and Crosby are out.
