I'm talking about via trade or via free agency.

So you mean long-term prospects...ah.
Bobs isn't a trade chip, so he's out.
I don't think LA will move Bernier for just anything - they'd need a serious hole to fill to move JB. Only a devastating injury to a Kopitar or a Doughty will be a big enough concern.
Schneider might be the most tradeable given that VAN has a strong replacement in Lack waiting in the wings who can take that backup spot instantly.
So perhaps he's the answer you're looking for. You may not like where he lands though...(read: Phoenix.)

I agree with Sherpa's thoughts.
I think these teams like to have insurance in net. Of course there are cases like Price and Halak where the personalities don't seem to work in a timeshare and one is moved because of that.
Bob's trade value seemed to have decreased because he "failed" in the playoffs (though his leash was so ridiculously short it's hard to really give him that label). Schneider has posted the best statistics at the NHL level and it seems as though Vancouver is comfortable with giving Lack at an NHL gig so as long as Lu doesn't go downhill I expect Schneider to get outta there and move onto somewhere he can push for more playing time (PHX perhaps) or maybe play a year behind an aging veteran starter and be groomed to be starter once they retire.

Off topic - but as a Canucks fan I really hope that Schneids gets traded to NJD to become Brodeurs successor if he gets traded anywhere. A great, stable franchise with young talent.
Not sure what we could get back though.

Depending on how LA's year goes I could definitely see Bernier being moved closer to the deadline to add another weapon for the stretch run

I agree that Bob has next to no trade value and that Bernier could be moved for another weapon in the stretch run. I could see Schneider being moved on the off season for sure.

The only weird thing in this equation is that we talk of these goalies not having a super high trade value yet Varlamov garnered a 1st and 2nd??? I thought the Halak deal set the standard on goaltender value now that there is a plethora of young, capable backups ready for a larger role but COL shook that up bigtime.

I could see Schneider being traded in the offseason and Bernier traded at the deadline for a piece to let LA make a run at the cup

Schneider is most likely to be a #1 goalie to start 2012-2013.
This is the last year of Schneider's RFA contract.
Bernier & Bob both have two years left on very affordable contracts.
