Dalpe doesn't have any more upside especially when compared to E.Kane, Okposo and Voracek. His chance of reaching that upside is less (at the moment) too.Originally Posted by Dape02

I just ran a line combination report at Frozen Pool for Dalpe in the exhibition season, and it does not list him playing with Staal in any situation. It has me a little concerned about the accuracy of those line combination reports.
If I can grab a more experienced RW I'd look at Dalpe in a later round if still avaliable

The WPG/CAR game on Sunday was on TSN. I only watched 1 period but Dalpe played with Staal.
Anyone have an idea why his minutes were so low in last nights game? 12 shifts for 8 minutes.
Well, pre-season is a time for coaches to evaluate players. Maybe they have a good read on Dalpe and want to know how other guys look when they get a lot of minutes?

I agree totally with you and I have Dalpe. Take the proven player, especially when the quality of players mentioned are available.
Don't be foolish and pass over guys like Okposo, Kane, or Voracek. But if you have the chance in the later rounds or after these guys are taken, then draft Dalpe. If someone wants to take a early pick and use it to draft Dalpe over these guys well then let him. Be the smarter GM and take the guys that are on the brink of breaking out, not the guys who may break out one day!!

i think he's got that spot, but i wouldn't bank on the Staal part. he'll be all over the place likely, although i think i did read somewhere that they liked him with Skinner and Ruutu. who knows.

Our league is combining the first 1.5 weeks into a big week. Car plays 5 times, which if he plays with Staal could be a big bonus, but its a big risk before the season starts.
