Default Need to trade a goalie.

I am in a dynasty league and I have J. Bernier on the farm. By the start of the season I either have to trade him or add him to my roster which consists of Price, Lundqvist, Varly and Rask. My team is pretty stacked with young talent. I came second last year and hope to finish first at least a couple of times in the next few years. Also we are in a pretty goalie dominant league. Who would you trade? Lundqvist or Price to try and get OV/Crosby? Varly because of injury worries? Rask even though he should get more starts? Bernier despite him having the least trade value and whose value should go up?

You have some options. One option I'd explore is moving Varly, either now or wait until he fires off a few wins, builds up his value and then send him packing and in return get you help back in areas you'll need it more. You're dynamite strong at goalie even without Varly.

I don't know if I could do that even if I wanted to straight up. And I have to make the trade before the first game of the season.

I would definitely explore the Varly trade route first. Lundqvist/Price is one of the best goalie tandems you could possibly have. Both are going to play a lot of games and put up great stats.

Rask and Bernier are two elite young talents who are stuck behind great goalies. Both are at least a year away from getting their own starting gigs.

While one of them could net you a solid return to someone without your goaltending depth, I would explore sending Varlamov packing first. Rask and Bernier will both only increase in value as they play more. Varlamov is injury prone but has a #1 gig locked up in Colorado until he gets hurt. I would see if you could land a solid forward for him or package him with one of you other Fs for an upgrade.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".
