Default need a third goalie which one?

I have Quick and Halak and its a max game pool where we have 180 games. Looking for a solid backup or 50/50 goalie that will help with my gaa sv%. Here are a few guys in the draft but the starters would go fast in the draft so I am looking at backup's or starters that will slip into the later rounds.

    Rask
    Bernier
    Bobrosky
    Steve Mason
    Neuvirth
    Schneider

I really like Rask but how many games will he play? and is he still hurt?

    Thanks

One year and with max having Halak / Quick already

I'd go with Bernier ( handcuff) or Mason.

Stevee Mason is a starter so he gets the slight edge then Schneeider or Rask.

Mason is the only outright starter on your list, so he is the real obvious choice. That said, considering you are only looking to spot start this goalie and are hoping to mostly make use of good peripheral stats, Rask is also quite interesting. He will maybe play 25-30 games, will get close to 20 Ws and have excellent peripheral stats. If you can set your lineup daily, and follow GoaliePost or some similar site to know ahead of time when Rask is going to play, he'd make a lot of sense.

this is what I am thiking. I don't need a starter as my 3rd guy. Rask hold a ton of trade value as well.

If you want to max out GP then Mason is the obvious choice because he should get at least 50 starts I think.

If you're looking for spot-starts with a high win/loss ratio and great peripherals I would probably go Bernier/Rask/Schneider/Neuvirth in that order.

Bernier simply for the handcuff, Rask will likely get the most starts out of the other three, Schneider I think is > Neuvirth and they should get similar GS.

    Mason

Aside from Mason, the rest of them will probably play up to 30 games next season while putting up good numbers at the same time.

Schneider, Bernier, and Bobrovsky also figure to be good trade bait considering their teams depth in net which might improve their odds to challenging for starting minutes

Also, despite Mason being the starter and since being a Calder Trophy winner, he has also been frustrating poolies and Jackets fans for the past two seasons. Granted, his team has improved somewhat in player quality this offseason, but he still seems like too high of a risk for the possible reward

For spots starts i´d go with Rask(Will continue to see more games) or Schneider. For filling out the GP def. Mason, he is a starter now but i wouldn´t count out Dekanich taking over in near future if Mason continuers his below average play.

I agree 100%. At minimum either guy will give you 25-30 starts and will be a good bet for a 91.5% or above save percentage based on their skills and the talent of the team in front of them.
