B for me but its close, Halak should rebound well and Quick is elite even if he gets pushed aside by Bernier and gets traded.

    Wow another toughie...

I like team B better... Brodeur and the Devils had an off year last year, but should bounce back. If they played anything like what they played in the last third of the season they could win the East easily... Niemi also plays for the Sharks, which is another upper echelon team. The only knock is that they have Niitty there too, where he could come in and steal the number one gig with solid play.

Team A I think has consistency but I don't think has a ton of upside... Quick is there, but he's kinda in the same situation as Niemi. Bernier is lurking and can steal the number 1 gig at anytime with solid play. Halak is also the clear cut number 1 on the Blues, but they're probably the toughest division in the league. Was interesting when I dug this up... Halak had stats of 10-6-3, 2.58 GAA and .905 sv% against his division last season... not exactly great stats when you have to play those teams 24 times a season.

Win potential I think all 4 goalies are in the same ballpark, so it comes down to which team will win more.

    SJ > LA
    NJ > STL

    So Team B for me.

    team A for me.

Quick is the best of the bunch. Halak and Niemi should be close, though I like Halak to take a step forward this year... NJ is a train wreck.

I'll take Team A, but when did St. Louis become a high-calibre team? They're not there yet.
