Interesting deal happened today:
Maaaa-chete receives: Bryzgalov, Lydman, Smid
Perrynormal Activity receives: Kovalchuk, Jagr, Lidstrom
I dunno how or why, but I've moved up into 2nd and have stayed there for a few days now.
Deeply calculated move for Maaaaaa - I have been wondering for a while if/when someone would make a move on Bryz. She's go, blow or hole in the wall for Maaaa-chete. Bryz got the shutout but not the win - numbers like that matter in roto.
Yep, definitely a needs-based move, as I noticed that he needed help in the peripherals on the backend as well. With his strong offense already, to give himself a chance to move up he needed to make such a move. Give up solid offensive but lower peripheral players for it. Time will tell where this will put him. And Perrynormal Activity.
Well trading with a guy that is well off the pace at the moment is part of the strategic consideration. That package would have bought a good goalie from me - but makes it tougher for him to overhaul me.
Rask is sure handing out more starts for Thomas these days, huh?

Yeah it was a calculated move on my part... I desperately need a boost in goalies and BS...
I was 1 for wins and svs, 2 for BS, 3.5 for sv% and 7 for GAA... and was at about 70 or 71 points overall (can't remember). I was also -26 for GP for goalie starts, so I'm desperately trying to grab all the goalies to catch up...
I now have 7 goalies at my disposal, which should get me a few more starts to make up the 81 starts that I have remaining if I stream them everyday...
If I can gain 5ish points for wins, svs, BS and sv% that'll boost me back up to 90 which should get me within the top half. 7ish for all 4 of those plus a few little extra bits here and there and I might have a shot at making the biggest comeback in history!
Either way should be very interesting...

Gotta pay to get, Mac - the hard reality. I have been quite surprised at offers for goalies - pretty low ball based on their value in the league (or at least my perception of their value).
