11 teams in the league.
We start 9F, 6D, 2G. 4 Bench slots.
Keep 7.

Other option is to keep 3 defense, and use high drafts to grab starting goalies. I have acquired 4 extra picks in the top 5 rounds so this wouldn't hurt me too bad. Some good guys will be available I think: Halak, Hiller, Ward, Brodeur, etc. They will go fast though.

Every guy you listed is an improvement over Mason. Hell, there's probably 20 goalies in the league that are an improvement over Mason.

So yes, I would keep 3D and roll the dice on grabbing one in the draft.
