standard h2h league. there are 10 teams. we keep 5 each.
i have ovechkin, n.backstrom(was), marleau, thornton.
my 5th keeper is between kipper, grabner, subban.... questionable i know....
the following goalies are guaranteed to be kept: thomas, henrik, vokoun, price, quick, bryz, niemi, rinne, luongo, crawford, miller, fleury, howard. if i keep grabner, which is what i want to do, these are the top 10 goalies availalbe: halak, kipper, brodeur, hiller, neurivirth, ward, roloson, lehtonen, reimer......
do i need to keep kipper? i feel like im going to be chasing goalie stats all year with or without him.... what do you guys think?

Ironically in a standard multi cat I would be looking at Grabner as the third option of those guys, what are the league settings and scoring? Separated by positions? How much weight is onn the goalie cats?

grabner dominates shp, and has upside. kipper gets wins but calgary isnt a shutdown team...
the only guys even WORTH looking at are kipper subban and grabner. i also have ladd, rask, bernier, penner..... its ugly. i gave up two shitloads for ovechkin.
I'd say you almost have to keep Kipper, I'm guessing you won't get 2 of those goalies you mentioned in your first post and unless you plan on tanking for the season you don't have a lot of options. Again either way I would keep both Subban or Kipper before Grabner.

1/3 of your stats are for goalies, so I would keep kipper. I would also draft a goalie early, Halak if he is there ( don't forget Pavelec - nice fall back if available). I like subban as well, but can't put him ahead of others.

You have to keep Kipper here in my opinion. Its hard to start off that far behind the 8 ball in the goalie department and with 4/12 cats for goalies you need production from them.
i think im the only one who thinks grabner can score 40 next year
suban over grabner but id keep a goalie.

Even if Grabner scored 40 goals, I'd keep Kipper here. Otherwise you are screwed.
I'd also keep Subban over Grabner.
Look at it this way, you've had 5 or 6 of us say that we wouldn't keep Grabner. That means either we underrate him or you overrate him. Either way, you will likely be able to redraft him as most people probably feel the way we do.

Agree with Dawg, you should have no problem redrafting him. Its easier to find a guy like Grabner than it is to find a starting goalie. I like Grabner and he may hit 40 goals, projecting 30 with upside.

Anther for keeping Kipper. In a keep 5, grabner isnt at that level yet. I wouldnt even take him in the first couple rounds of your draft as there is bound to be a lot of talent available.
Some times you have to step back from your love of a player and do whats best for your team.
