So we have to submit keepers soon and I had mine pretty set. However with Varly's trade to the Avs i'm wondering if it would be worth keeping him instead of one of the others. Any advice. Team and cats in sig.

Varly may be a bit of a pig in a poke but he is a startiing goalie and in a 12 team league having 2 starters going into the draft just can't be a bad thing.
I agree that Clowe is the guy to let go instead - too bad, he has value and he is a LWer but I would rather have the goaltending.
Ugh, I hate to see you lose Clowe but Varly would really help you solidify your goaltending. I say keep him.
In the mean time, see if you can't package Clowe with another of your keepers for an upgrade.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
So I am half with the others here. I wanna see you keep varly but not at the expense of clowe, he has 70 point potential with a ton of pims. I would keep Varly and clowe and dump vishkovsky( spelling bad but yeah). Now I know your think 60 point dmen don't come around so often but he is redraftable or you can get a decent to good dman to replace him in the draft. With you keeping 3 dmen rookies and great ones at that vis becomes expendable. In a keep 8 with 3rookies 4dmen are too many to keep. Keep the powerhouse LW option.

I would try to package Visnovsky with someone (possibly even Clowe), to get an upgrade in LW + pick if you can. To me it doesn't really make sense to keep four defensemen in a keep-11 that ices 4 D, however i agree that they are your best roster players and I wouldn't suggest straight dropping Visnovsky. That's going to be a move that you will REALLY regret.
i.e. Try to pry Marleau + a pick if you can...as Marleau fills your categories very well and gets FOW from the LW position.

this is an option to try but in a limited keeper league when it comes down to keepers it is almost impossible to package 2 keepers for 1. most people are hard enough choosing out of there current players adding in a 2:1 makes it all the more harder to do.Originally Posted by Dick Tracy

That's a heavy weighted goalie format. Varly over clowe for sure for me.
